Stream to 3D 6.1: Faster Depth Guided Processing on Compatible NVIDIA PCs

Stream to 3D 6.1 is a focused performance and reliability update for the AI-assisted Depth Guided conversion introduced in Release 6.

On compatible Windows 11 PCs with recent NVIDIA RTX graphics, Stream to 3D can use optional NVIDIA acceleration for Depth Guided conversion. It runs locally and can materially increase Depth Guided processing capacity. The established compatible graphics path remains available, while the efficient Temporal method continues to support a broader range of PCs.

What changed

• Optional NVIDIA acceleration: Depth Guided can use the faster path automatically after it has been installed and confirmed compatible.
• Setup remains your choice: Stream to 3D asks before downloading the optional component. A saved Wizard preference never grants installation consent.
• Compatibility remains: declining setup or using other compatible graphics hardware does not remove the established Depth Guided path or Temporal conversion.
• More dependable recommendations: performance checks distinguish between available acceleration paths and better reflect subsequent playback.
• Stronger reliability: incomplete Depth Guided processing is reported as a failure rather than an apparently successful result.

What stays the same

Depth Guided remains one conversion method with Quality and Performance modes. NVIDIA acceleration is not a new paid feature: existing Depth Guided access is sufficient. It does not change the source video, store entitlement, stereoscopic format or viewing route.

Source video remains on the PC. The optional download adds local acceleration; it is not sent video frames and it is not a cloud conversion service.

Compatibility

Optional NVIDIA acceleration currently requires Windows 11 version 24H2 or later, GeForce RTX 30-series or newer graphics, and compatible current Windows and NVIDIA software. Stream to 3D reports whether setup is available on the PC. Windows 10, older NVIDIA hardware, AMD and Intel users can continue using the compatible Release 6 paths.

Real-time results remain source- and workflow-specific. A compatible GPU is not a guarantee that every resolution, output rate, encoder or Live Source can sustain its target. Use the Configuration Wizard when you want Stream to 3D to measure practical Play or Stream choices.

Setup guidance

Open Settings > Algorithm, choose Depth Guided, then use NVIDIA Acceleration > Set up.... The Configuration Wizard can also offer setup when Depth Guided is relevant. See Optional NVIDIA Acceleration for Depth Guided for requirements, consent, fallback and troubleshooting.
